The 2 little girls had many friends. They were not anti-social types. Their friends were real and loyal, the kind of friends you smile with and laugh with and fight with and die with, but this is not a sad story so we’ll focus on only some of those.

In some places the 2 little girls were considered heroes. Those 2 amazing little gals really saved the world once or twice. One time, they really outdid themselves by standing up to an Ancient & Terrible Creature when everyone else had already run away. Those 2 little girls changed things forever that day and they will never be forgotten.

One time the 2 little girls heard about an old mean dragon, so they went to find it. The old dragon was exceptionally mean, when he met the 2 little girls he screamed and trounced and blew fire everywhere. The 2 little girls ran away as fast as they could. That day they were faster than that mean, old dragon.

They were audaciously strong those 2 little girls, but hardly anyone noticed. Once they pulled the biggest, oldest, gnarliest stump out of the town center, all by themselves. Everyone thanked them and smiled at them, but only a week later it was like nothing had happened, to the whole town they were the same 2 little girls. That’s the first time the girls started going on their own adventures.

1 gal said to the other gal, “Why do they call us little?” The other gal said “Why do sometimes they call us other?” Maybe it was truly benign they thought, maybe it was because they actually were so tiny...and so strange. “Maybe it’s because people are assholes.”

“Yeah, but we are pretty tiny.”

All this talk of little girls really made some of the far away monsters mad. They thought they didn’t need to hear about little girls. They thought there was nothing funny about 2 little girls, and quite frankly it was kind of weird. They were wrong. The 2 little girls used to laugh a lot about that.

One time 1 little girl wanted to go someplace. The other little girl did not want to go. They spent the whole day nicely fighting about it. Things never got mean, and in the end they stayed.
